UK Navy Chief in India for 3 Days

Admiral Sir Tony Radakin, First Sea Lord and Chief of Naval Staff, Royal Navy is on a three day official visit to India from 22-24 Oct 21. Adm Radakin interacted with Adm Karambir Singh, Chief of the Naval Staff on 22 Oct 21. Amongst other naval bilateral cooperation issues, the Chiefs emphasised on collaborative mechanisms towards ensuring peace and security in the region. He is also scheduled to visit Indian Navy’s Western Naval Command (at Mumbai) wherein he would interact with VAdm R Hari Kumar, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Western Naval Command.

India,Australia Sign 'Terms of Reference' for Navy Talks

Consequent to the signing of ‘Joint Guidance for the India - Australia Navy to Navy Relationship’ document by the Chiefs of the Indian Navy (IN) and the Royal Australian Navy (RAN) on 18 August 2021, the ‘Terms of Reference for the Conduct of Navy-to-Navy Talks between the Indian Navy and the Royal Australian Navy’ was signed on 29 Sep 2021. The signing ceremony was held virtually between Rear Admiral Jaswinder Singh, ACNS (FCI), IN and Rear Admiral Christopher Smith, DCNS, RAN. 

Air Chief visits Central Air Command

Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria PVSM AVSM VM ADC, Chief of the  Air Staff (CAS) visited Headquarters, Central Air Command (CAC), Prayagraj on Sep 16 21 for its Annual Commanders’ Conference. The CAS was received by Air Marshal RJ Duckworth AVSM VSM, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief (AOC-in-C) CAC. A ceremonial Guard of Honour was presented to the CAS on arrival at the Command Headquarters.

Indian and Australian Navy begins AUSINDEX

Indian Navy Task Group comprising IN Ships Shivalik and Kadmatt, under the Command of Flag Officer Commanding, Eastern Fleet, Rear Admiral TarunSobti, VSM is participating in the 4th edition of AUSINDEX from 06 to 10 Sep 21. Royal Australian Navy (RAN) Anzac Class Frigate, HMAS Warramunga which participated in Exercise MALABAR along with the IN units is also part of the exercise.

CAS flew in an IOC LCA Tejas

Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria PVSM AVSM VM ADC, Chief of the Air Staff (CAS) visited IAF units and flight test establishments/ facilities of DRDO and HAL at Bengaluru on 23 & 24 Aug 21. On arrival, CAS was received by AVM Jeetendra Mishra VSM, Commandant Aircraft and Systems Testing Establishment (ASTE). He also took to sky in initial operational LCA Tejas.

Air Chief attends Commanders’ Conference of Maintenance Command

Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria PVSM AVSM VM ADC, Chief of the Air Staff (CAS) attended the Commanders’ Conference of Maintenance Command at Vayu Sena Nagar, Nagpur on 11 & 12 Aug 21. CAS on arrival was received by Air Marshal Shashiker Choudhary AVSM VSM ADC, AOC-in-C MC. 

 The two day event was attended by Commanders of Base Repair Depots, Equipment Depots and other Stations/ Units under MC, who reviewed ongoing projects and took stock of goals and tasks for MC in the year ahead.
