The Defense Security Cooperation Agency delivered the required certification notifying Congress of this possible sale today.
Dispelling all possibility of delays in S-400 delivery, Indian Ambassador to Russia, on Saturday, said that India will receive all five regiments as per the schedule.

RAFAEL Advanced Defense Systems Ltd. posts its financial results today (Thursday) for FY 2019, amid the COVID-19 global crisis, with record sales of $2.7 billion, an increase of %3.9 compared to 2018. The company's orders totaled $2.8 billion (10 billion Shekels), with record high export orders, and an order backlog of $7.2 billion (24.8 billion Shekels), equivalent to 2.5 sales years, despite the significant depreciation in the Dollar- and Euro-to-Shekel exchange rates.

There is good news on the S-400 front for India. A top Russian official in an interview has said that Russia will complete the delivery S-400 by 2024.

IAF flies two sorties on Mig-35

During the Army 2019 International Military and Technical Forum being held in Kubinka near Moscow, JSC Rosoboronexport (part of the Rostec State Corporation) has signed a number of contracts with foreign customers for the supply of Russian small arms and close combat weapons.
The Korsar drone system, designed by the Lutch R&D company of the Roselectronics holding, consists of several separate UAVs and a control station. The UAV is designed for all-weather aerial terrain reconnaissance, patrol and observation flights, and aerial photography. It weights 200 kg, has a wingspan of 6.5 meters and fuselage length of 4.2 meters.
Avtomatika Concern (part of Rostec) has presented the Sapsan-Bekas mobile system for detecting and disabling unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) at the International Military-Technical Forum ARMY-2019. The system can detect an UAV at a distance of 10 km, track its movement and disable it at a distance of over 6 km by suppressing communications and control of the UAV. The design has much better tactical and technical characteristics compared to all similar Russian and foreign systems that are currently available.
High Precision Systems holding of Rostec State Corporation has presented Paladin, its latest military robot system, at the International Military-Technical Forum ARMY-2019. The system consists of the unmanned Dragun battle module installed on a robotized BMP-3 chassis.

Russian Helicopters presents modernised Ansat
Russian Helicopters Holding Company (part of Rostec State Corporation) presented a concept of the modernized light Ansat helicopter at the International Paris Air Show 2019. The machine has new design solutions and options which will be introduced into serial production in the coming years. Two helicopters – one for medical and another for civil applications – are on static display near the Chalet area.

Exactly twenty years ago, the world’s military technology leader United States of America was doing everything to salvage the wreckage of its first stealth aircraft F-117 which was lost to SA-3 surface-to-air missile of Yugoslavian Army. In a bizarre twist of tale, a leading defence website with focus on Middle East and North Africa, on Monday, quoting a face book page reported crash of Egyptian Rafale fighter jet in leading to the death of the pilot of the aircraft.
“According to the Facebook account @DefensAero, the crash occurred today in Egypt and involved a Rafale. The pilot, one of the first trained in France says the publication, would have died in the accident,” menadefense.net reported.
Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsiya) certified the increase in take-off/landing altitude of Ansat helicopter to 3,500 m. Major change approval is issued on the basis of trials conducted in summer 2018 at Mount Elbrus. The document allows Ansat to operate in high-altitude conditions.

Indian Air Force (IAF) has restarted its two decades old quest for replacement of decades-old Russian fighter jets through a competitive tender. IAF is still relying on the Russian single engine MiG-21s and twin-engine MiG-27s. These aircraft are still part of the IAF’s inventory even when most of the air forces have retired them. This is only because IAF has not been able to replace them.

Boeing has inducted its 20th F/A-18 Super Hornet into Service Life Modification (SLM) supporting U.S. Navy readiness needs for mission-capable aircraft. Two SLM jets have already been delivered back to the Navy.
Initially, SLM will extend the life of Super Hornets from 6,000 to 7,500 flight hours. Future modification plans in 2022 will enable the jets to fly 10,000 hours and incorporate Block III capabilities.

A Boeing [NYSE:BA]-led Australian industry team has presented the first unmanned Loyal Wingman aircraft to the Royal Australian Air Force, a historic milestone for the company and the Commonwealth.
