DefExpo2020 - IIT Madras

IIT Madras entered the field of defence on its own steam on April 18. It established a stall in the Defexpo 2018 in Chennai. Many of its students and faculty got their first exposure to the exciting world of aerospace and defence. It even held a seminar at the event. However, the seminar was poorly attended since it was a last-minute inclusion, and many did not even know that IIT Madras was going to hold a seminar. Since then things have changed and IIT Madras has traversed some distance.

DefExpo 2020 - Thales

A wide range of strategic and tactical weapon systems, defence equipment and technologies developed by Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) will be on display at the DefExpo 2020 to be held in Lucknow from February 05-09, 2020.

DefExpo2020 - Airbus

Airbus will showcase its best-in-class military products and cutting-edge defence technologies at the DefExpo airshow between February 5 and 8, 2020, in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India. Airbus’ exhibits at the show will demonstrate its capabilities and commitment to kick-start a defence industrial base in the country.

India deploys Su-30MKI armed with BrahMos in South India

To counter emerging threats from China in Indian Ocean Region, India, on Monday, inducted recently resurrected 222 Squadron, the Tigersharks, with Sukhoi 30 MKI armed with air-launched cruise missile (ALCM) BrahMos at the Air Force Station Thanjavur. The Indo-Russian all weather BrahMos ALCM will allow the Su-30MKI to destroy any adversary naval ship at a distance of 290 km.
