ITI bags Indian Army's ASCON IV contract

In order to meet the long pending demand of the Indian Army the Cabinet Committee on Security, has approved the proposal for establishment of Army Static Switched Communication Network (ASCON) Phase IV Network to be implemented by M/s ITI, a Public Sector Undertaking, at an estimated cost of Rs. 7796.39 crore with an implementation schedule of 36 months from the date of signing of the contract. The contract has been signed with M/s ITI Ltd. on 01.10.2020.

New Appointments in IAF

New Commander Eastern Air Command

Air Marshal Amit Dev took over as Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of Eastern Air Command, IAF on October 1. He was commissioned into Fighter Stream on December, 1982 as a Fighter Pilot and has a flying experience of more than 2500hrs on MiG 21 and MiG 27 fighter aircraft.

Prior to this appointment he was Air Officer-in-Charge, Personnel at Air HQ, New Delhi.

Boeing, General Atomic to partner in Missile defence bid

Boeing [NYSE: BA] is teaming with General Atomics Electromagnetic Systems (GA-EMS) and Aerojet Rocketdyne in its bid to build the Next Generation Interceptor (NGI) for the U.S. Missile Defense Agency (MDA). The NGI is a key element of the MDA’s missile defense system, which is designed to intercept and destroy incoming intercontinental ballistic missiles.
