UAC to exhibit models of some of  its finest aircraft

MC-21-300

The MС-21 is a new generation family of narrow-body aircraft seating from 150 to 211 passengers.

The aircraft family is developed by Irkut Corporation - a United Aircraft Corporation subsidiary in wide international cooperation. The new liner is noted for its aerodynamic quality that is mainly achieved through the use of a high-aspect-ratio wing made from polymer composite materials.

The share of composite materials in the weight of the aircraft exceeds 30 per cent which is unique for narrow-body aircraft. Composites not only provide aircraft with better aerodynamics but also dramatically decrease the weight of the aircraft.

MC-21

The aircraft has the widest fuselage in its class. This provides for additional passenger comfort and reduces the turnaround time through faster boarding and de-boarding.

On October 17 2017, the first test aircraft flew non-stop from the airfield of Irkutsk Aviation Plant to the airfield of Flight Research Institute. The aircraft flew non-stop 4 500 km for 6 hours at the altitude of 10 000 meters. On March 25 the second MC-21-300 prototype was transferred from the final assembly shop to the flight test department.

Superjet 100

The Superjet 100 (SSJ100) is a new generation regional jet designed, developed and built by the Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company (SCAC), a subsidiary of the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC). The first Superjet 100 prototype was rolled out in September 2007. The maiden flight was successfully performed in May 2008. In April 2011 the aircraft carried out its first commercial flight.

The Superjet 100 is an advanced and cost-effective commercial aircraft, built with state-of-the-art technologies in aerodynamics, engine and aircraft systems. In 2012, the Superjet 100 (model RRJ-95B) received its Type Certificate from the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).

SSJ

The Superjet 100 is the first ever Russian passenger “Large Airplane” to achieve the EASA CS-25 Certification. Superjet 100 cruises at a Maximum Operating Speed of Mach 0.81 and at 40.000 ft/12.200m. Long Range version has a longer, compared to the Basic, range of up to 4320 km, Maximum Take Off Weight of 49,450 kg and strengthened wings for increased weight.

At the moment there are 138 Superjet 100 aircraft in operations by customers in Russian Aeroflot, Yakutia Airlines, RusJet, Yamal, IrAero, Gazpromavia, Azimut, Russian Government structures as well as Mexican Interjet, Irish Cityjet and Royal Thai Air Force. The aircraft in service operated more than 500 000 flight hours totally for more than 330 000 revenue flights.

Su-57 Fifth Generation Fighter Aircraft

The Su-57 is a multifunctional 5th generation fighter designed to destroy all types of aerial targets in long-range and close battles, defeat the enemy's ground-based, surface targets with overcoming hostile air defence, to monitor airspace at large distances from the base, to destroy the enemy’s aircraft control system.

The first flight of the PAK FA occurred on 29 January 2010 in Komsomolsk-on-Amur. Currently, there are eight flying prototypes undergoing flight tests.

The 5th generation aircraft is equipped with a fundamentally new complex of deeply integrated avionics, which has a high level of control automation and intellectual support for the crew. This greatly reduces the load on the pilot and allows him to concentrate on the tactical mission.

Su-57

The onboard equipment of the new aircraft makes it possible to exchange information in real time with land-based control systems and airborne team, in addition to operating independently. The aircraft has the ability for covert actions due to its low level of radar, infrared and optical observation.

The auxiliary power unit of the PAK FA provides a high level of autonomy of the aircraft basing, a reduction in fuel consumption for ground workings and a saving of the engines’ life. The use of an onboard oxygen producing unit provides practically unlimited flight time and exclusion of ground filling with oxygen. And the use of the generator-type explosion-proof neutral gas system on the plane in combination with other measures allows not only to ensure the autonomy of the basing but also to realize unprecedented characteristics of the combat survivability of the aircraft.

The PAK FA is the most advanced aircraft in the Sukhoi Company line, and, as from the year 2020, it will become the company's main product in the aviation market.

Su-35

Production of the Su-35 4++ generation super-maneuvrable multi-role fighter is one of the top priority programmes of the Sukhoi Company, a UAC subsidiary. Maximum speed at low level is 1,400 km/h, or 2,400 km/h at altitude. The service ceiling is 18,000 m. The radar target detection range is up to 400 km in the air-to-air mode, which considerably exceeds that of current in-service aircraft.

The phased array radar detects targets at a longer range and can simultaneously track and engage a greater number of threats (tracking of up to 30 and engagement of up to 8 aerial targets, tracking of four and engagement of two ground targets, plus an option of simultaneous monitoring air and ground situations). The onboard optical sensor suite detects and tracks several aerial targets at a range of up to 80 km.

The flight tests results confirm that performance of the Su-35/Su-35S is far superior to that of similar in-service foreign counterparts and that the onboard equipment performs a wide range of missions and tactical tasks. The aircraft specifications greatly exceed those of fourth and 4+ generation tactical fighters such as Rafale, Typhoon and upgraded F-15, F-16 and F/A-18, as well as the F-35. The Su-35/Su-35S is a potent rival to the F-22.

Su-35

The Su-35/Su-35S employs many of the advanced technologies used in the PAK FA advanced fighter. In some respects, the Su-35/Su-35S is a platform for optimizing the advanced technologies used in fifth-generation aircraft currently under tests. This applies in the first instance to a new avionics suite integrated with an information control system (ICS) and developed using the latest information technologies.In addition, the aircraft is fitted with new engines featuring increased vectored thrust and a built-in auxiliary powerplant (BIAPP). The Su-35/Su-35S can carry a wide range of airborne guided munitions for target engagement at short, medium and long ranges as well as unguided weapons. The aircraft can carry an 8,000 kg combat load.

Series production of the Su-35S fighter takes place at the Y.A.Gagarin Aircraft Plant in Komsomolsk-on-Amur (KnAAZ). The Sukhoi Company is currently fulfilling a state contract for delivery of a batch of fighters for the Russian Aerospace Forces until 2020. Talks are underway with a number of foreign customers for the delivery of the super-maneuvrable multi-role Su-35 fighters.

MiG-35/35D

The MiG-35 is a “4++” generation multi-role fighter, exhibiting the further development of the MiG-29K/KUB and MiG-29M/M2 fighters in the field of the combat efficiency enhancement, universality and operational characteristics improvement.

The complex of technical and technological solutions has been developed for the MiG-35/MiG-35D aircraft which provides for independent operation, like airborne oxygen generation plant. The power plant includes two engines RD-33MK with increased thrust power, equipped with smokeless combustion chamber and new electronic control system (of FADEC type). Engines are of the module structure and have increased reliability and service life.

MiG35

The aircraft are equipped with a new-generation multirole “Zhuk-AE” radar with an active phased array. The built-in and podded IRST systems of the MiG-35 provide for air-to-air and air-to-surface operations in day and night conditions within line-of-sight and beyond. State-of-the art avionics in combination with advanced weapons allow the MiG-35/MiG-35D fighters fulfil a great number of missions.

Yak-130

The Yak-130 two-seater is designed for basic and advanced training of fighter pilots to fly and employ top-of-the-line fighter jets. The Yak-130 two-seater is developed by the Yakovlev Design Bureau (a UAC subsidiary) for basic and advanced training of fighter pilots. This aircraft features enhanced maneuverability and advanced avionics suite typical for top-of-the-line fighter jets, as well as high reliability and long service life. Compliant with the rigorous requirements of the Russian Air Force, the Yak-130 also perfectly matches the contemporary and prospective demands of foreign customers.

The Yak-130 combat trainer jet features aerodynamic layout and subsonic flight performance similar to those of modern fighter jets. Its adjustable integrated flight control system enables the trainees to develop and master in a short time their skills in flying modern fighter jets. A number of contracts for delivery of Yak-130 aircraft have been signed both domestically and abroad. Negotiations are underway with a number of countries for delivery of Yak-130 aircraft.

Yak-152

The Yak-152 basic trainer aircraft ensures professional student selection and primary training

of pilots and sport pilots, covers primary/basic/ advanced training cycles both in single and in group flight. The Yak-152 is a single-engine, all-metal aircraft with a classical low-winged aerodynamic design and retractable tricycle landing gear with nose wheel. The cockpit is implemented in a tandem arrangement with the trainee in the front.

Il-112

IL-112 lightweight military transport capable of carrying up to 6 tons is being created to replace ageing An-26 aircraft that are obsolete both technically and physically. It has better takeoff and landing characteristics. New composite materials are widely used in the aircraft structure. The aircraft is equipped with TB7-117ST engines, uses Russian systems and components. It is able to autonomously operate (up to 45 days) including from unprepared airfields.

The first flight of the aircraft is planned in 2017. R&D will last until 2020. After the development is finished VASO production plant will be ready to produce up to 12 aircraft annually.

Special Purpose Aircraft

Be-200

The Be-200 aircraft is developed and manufactured by JSC Beriev Aircraft Company, a subsidiary of the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC). Be-200 made its maiden flight in September 1998. In 2003 its Be-200ChS variant specially developed for the Russian Emergency Ministry was certified according to AP-25 rules, and also received type certification from EASA in November 2010. That made it possible to operate this aircraft in Europe and in other countries which follow the EASA standards.

Be200

The Emergencies Ministry of the Russian Federation became the launch customer for the Be-200ChS and now has ten amphibious aircraft in service. The first Taganrog-assembled Be-200 aircraft has been delivered to the Emergencies Ministry of the Russian Federation in January 2017.

Since June 2004 these aircraft are on constant duty during the fire danger season. In April 2008 a Be- 200ChS aircraft was delivered to the Emergencies Ministry of Azerbaijan. Two more aircraft (a Be-200 and a Be-200ChS) are operated by Beriev Aircraft Company.

The Be-200 has demonstrated its capabilities numerous times and has taken part in fire-fighting missions in France, Germany, Portugal, Italy, Greece, Malaysia and China. It has been piloted by French, American and Italian pilots and all of them expressed a high opinion of its performance and versatility.

Be-103

The Be-103 multipurpose light amphibian aircraft was developed by the Beriev Aircraft Company (a UAC subsidiary) for tasks like cargo-passenger transportation, patrolling, including fire-protection monitoring and ecological control of water area and tourism.

The Be-103 is equipped with navigation and communication equipment allowing operations of this aircraft in complicated weather conditions both day and night. The aircraft may take on board five passengers while the cabin layout provides them comfort during the flight. An autopilot, satellite navigation system and weather radar can be installed by a customer request as well as the second set of pilot (instructor) controls.

In 2003 three Be-103 aircraft were delivered to USA. In 2010 wo aircraft of this type were delivered to a Chinese customer, its crews and technical staff were trained in Russia. Chinese partners are expressing interest to order more Be-103 aircraft and localize its assembly in China. Negotiations on licensed assembly of these multipurpose light amphibian aircraft are in progress with other countries as well.
