5 LCA to Participate in UK Exercise

Indian Air Force will participate in a multi nation air exercise named 'Ex Cobra Warrior 22' at Waddington, UK from 06 to 27 March 2022.  IAF Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) Tejas will participate in the exercise along with fighter aircraft of UK and other leading Air Forces.

The exercise is aimed at providing operational exposure and share best practices amongst the participating Air Forces, thereby enhancing combat capability and forging bonds of friendship. This will be a platform for LCA Tejas to demonstrate its manoeuvrability and operational capability.

Rafael's ‘C-Dome’ completes 1st interceptions

Rafael Advanced Defense Systems, the Israel Missile Defense Organization (IMDO), in the Directorate for Defense R&D of the Israel Ministry of Defense, and the IDF have completed a successful series of live-fire tests of the ‘C-Dome’ system - an advanced naval configuration of the Iron Dome defense system. The ‘C-Dome’ was operated for the first time aboard the Israeli Naval Ship (INS) Sa’ar 6 ‘Magen’ corvette against multiple advanced threats.

Army Chief Presents President’s Colours to 21 Para

General MM Naravane, The Chief of the Army Staff presented the prestigious ‘President’s Colours’ to four battalions of the Parachute Regiment, namely 11 PARACHUTE (Special Forces), 21 PARACHUTE (Special Forces), 23 PARACHUTE and 29 PARACHUTE, during an impressive Colour Presentation Parade held at the Parachute Regiment Training Centre, Bangalore on 23 February 2022.

India believes in 'Security and Growth for all - President

The President and Supreme Commander of the armed forces of India, Ram Nath Kovind, on Monday, reviewed the Indian Navy Fleet at Visakhapatnam. With the theme ‘75 years in Service of the Nation,’ Indian Navy showcased its latest state-of-art indigenously built combat platforms during the 12th edition of the Fleet Review which was also conducted as part of the 75th anniversary of India's Independence being celebrated as 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav'.

Rubin Design Bureau the Centre for Marine Robotics

 

To design and test unmanned underwater robit vehicles, Russian submarine designer Rubin has established Marine Robotics Centre which commenced work in Kronstadt, Russia. The facility designs, assembles and tests autonomous unmanned underwater vehicles. The Centre is intended for simultaneous assembly of underwater vehicles of various sizes. Rubin has purchased part of Kronstadt Marine Plant.

DefExpo22 Extended by a Day

Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh reviewed, in New Delhi on February 18, 2022, the preparations of DefExpo-2022, Asia's largest exhibition on land, naval and homeland security systems, to be held in Gandhinagar, Gujarat in March. The event is being organised as one of the largest defence international exhibitions of the world.

Historic Visit of Saudi Army Chief

In a historic and landmark visit, the Commander of the Royal Saudi Land Forces, Lieutenant General Fahd Bin Abdullah Mohammed Al-Mutair, arrived in India on 14 February 2022. This is the first ever visit by a serving Royal Saudi Land Forces Commander to India and marks a deepening bilateral defence cooperation between the two countries. General MM Naravane had visited Saudi Arabia in December 2020 in a historic visit which marked the first time that an Indian Army Chief had visited Saudi Arabia. The aim of the visit is to bolster bilateral defence cooperation between the two countries.

Korea Selects Boeing to Critical Defense Platforms

Boeing has received three performance based logistics (PBL) contracts from the Republic of Korea's Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA) to manage sustainment of Republic of Korea Air Force (ROKAF) F-15K fighter jets and Airborne Early Warning & Control (AEW&C) aircraft, and Republic of Korea Army (ROKA) CH-47 Chinook helicopters. The five-year contracts will improve aircraft availability by using performance data to inform logistics and supply chain management activities.
