Mission Sagar - II Handing Over Food Aid To Eritrea By INS Airavat

In continuation of the ongoing humanitarian mission ‘Sagar-II’, Indian Naval Ship Airavat arrived at Port Massawa, Eritrea on 06 November 2020. The Government of India is providing assistance to Friendly Foreign Countries to overcome natural calamities and COVID-19 pandemic, and towards the same INS Airavat is carrying food aid for the people of Eritrea.  

USC not walked out of RNEL bidding

In connection with the incorrect information published on thehindubusinessline.com on October 8, 2020 (https://bit.ly/2JEHjm7), stated that the Russian company United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC) allegedly decided to exit the bidding procedure for purchasing the Reliance Naval and Engineering Ltd. (RNEL)’s Shipyard, we would like to clarify – the USC have never officially indicated its refusal to participate in the tender.

Rosoboron receives honour from Russian President

In line with Order No. 1 of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin dated October 15, 2020, Rosoboronexport JSC (part of Rostec State Corporation) has been awarded the Certificate of Honor "For merit in strengthening the country's defense capacity and developing military-technical cooperation between the Russian Federation and foreign countries."

Dynamatic completes 1st front fuselage FOC LCA

Dynamatic has built the first front fuselage for the FOC version of the Tejas Light Combat Aircraft (LCA). This is the first time a complex fuselage section for a supersonic fighter aircraft has been built by a private sector company. Dynamatic has been a preferred production partner for Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) for over three decades on all their major platforms.

Malabar-20 first phase commences at Vishakhapatnam

The 24th edition of the MALABAR naval exercise is scheduled in two phases in November 2020. Phase 1 of the Exercise MALABAR 20 involving participation by Indian Navy (IN), United States Navy (USN), Japan Maritime Self Defence Force (JMSDF), and Royal Australian Navy (RAN) is set to commence off Visakhapatnam in Bay of Bengal from 03 to 06 November 2020. 

MALABAR series of maritime exercises commenced in 1992 as a bilateral IN-USN exercise. JMSDF joined MALABAR in 2015. The 2020 edition will now witness participation of the RAN in this joint maritime exercise.
