Rosoboronexport JSC (part of the Rostec State Corporation) is organizing an exhibit of Russian defense products in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the first time. Both the latest and most in-demand pieces of armament will be showcased at Saudi Arabia’s first-ever World Defense Show 2022, which will be held from March 6-9, 2022 in Riyadh.
Russia’s single exhibit, organized by Rosoboronexport at the World Defense Show 2022, comprises products from more than 20 enterprises affiliated with the country’s largest manufacturing holding companies.
At its stand, Rosoboronexport will showcase pieces of armament for all services of armed forces. Among them are scale models of the IL-76MD-90A military transport aircraft, Mi-28NE attack helicopter and the Orion-E reconnaissance/strike unmanned aerial vehicle, Karakurt-E small missile ship, Project 1650 Amur class diesel-electric submarine, and a version of the Msta-S self-propelled howitzer chambered for the 155 mm caliber that is common in Saudi Arabia.
In addition, the models of the Typhoon-K and Typhoon-VDV mine-protected wheeled armored vehicles, the Kupol (Dome) electronic warfare system for countering small-sized drones will be demonstrated at the Rosoboronexport stand.
As part of the exhibition’s business program, Rosoboronexport has scheduled to hold numerous talks with representatives of the military and political leadership and the business community of Saudi Arabia, as well as the Middle East and North Africa countries. During the meetings, it is planned to discuss the further development of bilateral military-technical cooperation and joint industrial partnership projects.
