Export version of its multipurpose Korsar UAV debuts
Ruselectronics Holding Company of Rostec State Corporation introduced the prototype of the export model of its Korsar UAV with a set of target payloads at the MAKS-2019 International Aviation and Space Salon. The Korsar unmanned aerial vehicle has obtained the necessary export permits and will be offered to foreign customers.
The export version of the Korsar system developed by Lutch Design Bureau (part of Ruselectronics) has a flight range of at least 100 km, flight speed of 100 to 180 km/h, and a continuous flight duration of at least 7.5 hours. The working height of the UAV flight is 100 to 4000 m. The take-off mass of the system is 200 kg, it has a wingspan is 6.5 meters, and fuselage length of 4 meters. Korsar can be equipped with optical electronic systems, a radar station, a digital aerial camera, meteorological equipment, and a cargo unit.
"The main advantage of the system is its open architecture, which allows it to adapt for performing various tasks, from weather reconnaissance and aerial photography to target finding and goods transportation. Therefore, our drone featuring a full set of payloads can replace an entire UAV fleet of various specializations," the Radioelectronic Cluster of Rostec State Corporation informed.
The Korsar project encompassed creating innovative power generation systems, a small-sized engine starting system, and an electronic controller for the power unit of the unmanned aerial vehicle. Its advantage is the network-centric principle of information network organization, used by the developers to facilitate the connection of the UAV to the control center and other parties. The communication system implemented on the drone links to other air and ground objects to form a secure network, which transmits information to the recipient with no delay or loss.
Rostec signed dealership agreements on supplying VRT500 to Malaysia
VR-Technologies — innovation design office of the Russian Helicopters Holding Company (part of Rostec State Corporation) — signed dealership agreements on promotion and sales of the light multipurpose helicopter VRT500 with a Malaysian company Ludev Aviation. It is planned to start the supplies in 2023.
The Malaysian company Ludev Aviation intends to purchase five helicopters. Optional equipment and details of interior and a livery color scheme of VRT500 will be determined after the helicopter is issued a type certificate and an airworthiness certificate in accordance with the standards of the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) . In early 2019 the technical project of the VRT500 program was successfully completed, and development of design documents started. Tests of the first prototype will start in 2020.
"Europe and Asia are priority potential markets for the VRT500 helicopter. With its performance, the helicopter competes with rotorcraft of the same class used in these regions," says VR-Technologies Director General Alexander Okhonko.
VRT500 is a light single-engine helicopter with coaxial rotors. Its takeoff weight is 1,650 kg. The aircraft has the largest passenger and cargo cabin in its class, which can accommodate up to five passengers and is equipped with a modern interactive avionics complex. The design solutions of the helicopter will allow it to reach the speed of up to 250 kph, fly up to 860 km and carry up to 730 kg of payload. The helicopter is designed in passenger, multipurpose, cargo, training, VIP and HEMS configurations.
UAC presented 2019-2038 Market Outlook
United Aircraft corporation (UAC) has delivered new long range civil aircraft market forecast. The whitepaper document is intended for the mainstream audience and serves for harmonization of the Russian aviation industry opinions as referred to the core markets and also for signification of the Corporation contribution to the international aviation community references coordinates formation.
The 2019-2038 Market Outlook booklet concept differs from the relevant documents which the Corporation has delivered in the previous years, as it contains corporate vision revealing supply and demand ratio pitfalls covering different market segments relative to world regions and key countries comprising Russia, China and India in addition to the vital market statistics.
The civil aircraft quantitative demand appraisal for the forecasted period is executed on the basis of the genuine mathematical imitation model, which considers many parameters, comprising but not limited to macroeconomic and demographic arguments, air transportation dynamic and volume data, current fleet condition, world production capacities, sale, purchase and lease deals as well as state investment programs records and miscellaneous commercial factors.
Narrowbodies of 166-200 seats capacity will be in the main demand stream. The market pull for the such aircraft is forecasted at 20.5 thousand level, which is in excess to all other market segments. The total demand in raw numbers is estimated in amount of 44.3 thousand airliners or 6.35 USD trillion if calculated in the 2019 catalogue prices.
The Russian segment share is equal to 2,9% in monetary and 3,3% in quantitative terms of the world market. 166-200 seater narrowbodies segment will overtake the majority of the local aviation carriers deliveries (630 tails estimate).
Maximum quantitative demand geographical location-wise is forecasted in China (9,1 thousand tails), Asia-Pacific (excluding China and India) (7.9 thousand aircraft), European (8.3 thousand liners) and North American (8.2 thousand units) regions.
The 2019-2038 Market Outlook booklet contains detailed quantitative data regarding the global commercial aircraft market segments actual state and development trends, as well as a regional chapter that provides a detailed information on Russia, China, India, countries of the CIS, Asia-Pacific, European, Latin American, Middle East, North American and African regions.
UAC and COMAC presented CR929 Program to air companies
On August, 28 United Aircraft Corporation (UAC), Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC) and their joint venture, CRAIC, have hold Consultancy Committee on CR929 Program with the air companies during MAKS-2019. The event is aimed at demonstration of the characteristics of the new long-range wide-body aircraft (LRWBA) to the potential customers and obtainment of their suggestions and proposals for the benefit of the final product. Air carriers and lease companies from Russia, China, CIS and a number of other countries have participated in the event.
“CR929 is a global product. Our main purpose is to achieve its commercial efficiency and to make a product attractive for passengers owing to its comfort and for the airlines owing to its excellent performance. We are aligning our business model to create an aircraft competitive at the global market. Our intention is not just to manufacture an aircraft, but to create a new product in long-range segment accompanied with such services as continued airworthiness management and conversion training courses for the flight crews and technical staff.” – said CR929 Program Director from the Russian side, Mr. Sergey Fominykh.
The concept of new CR929 product in a long-range segment is represented by the aircraft itself and corresponding full-package services ensuring aircraft uninterrupted operation, reduction of operator’s costs required for establishment of own spare parts pool and parts turnover, coupled with aircraft maintenance and training of the flight crews and technical personnel.
Consultancy Committee with the air companies on CR929 Program was timed to coincide with the first demonstration of the full-size cabin mock-up of CR929 aircraft in Russia. 1:1 scale mock-up showcases CR929 LOPA providing a glimpse of the level of comfort in the first, business and economy classes to the potential customers and future passengers.
CR929 Program is currently at the design definition stage with configuration definition as the next milestone.
