Rear Admiral Atul Anand, VSM, has assumed the office of Flag Officer Commanding Maharashtra Naval Area on 22 Feb 2021. The formal handing/ taking over ceremony was held at INS Kunjali, where Rear Admiral Atul Anand was presented a guard of honour at a ceremonial parade.

Global Aerospace and Technology company Paramount Group and India based Engineering & Technology conglomerate Bharat Forge Limited, announced a cooperation that will see them join the technologies, capabilities and expertise of both groups in order to manufacture Armoured Vehicles in India.

Kalashnikov group is presenting a new PLK compact pistol for the first time at the largest Middle East arms exhibition IDEX-2021, which will be held in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates from February 21-25.

“Another new product Kalashnikov group will showcase at the IDEX exhibition is PLK – compact Lebedev pistol chambered for 9x19 round. This handgun passed state technical trials in Russian Federation and already proved its reliability in a harsh environment,” said Dmitry Tarasov, CEO Kalashnikov Group.

Furthering the relationship between Indian Navy and IIT Delhi on research in underwater domain of Naval Electronic Systems, a Memorandum of Understanding has been signed. The relationship dates back to 1970s and key technologies for Navy in the field of underwater electronics have been developed by the Centre for Applied Research in Electronics (CARE) at IIT Delhi since then. The research carried out at IIT Delhi has played an important role in the technological advances made by the Indian Navy.
