The Army Chief, General Bipin Rawat, flew the Light Combat Helicopter (LCH) during the ongoing Aero India at Air Force Station, Yelahanka, here today. The helicopter was piloted by Wg Cdr S John, HAL’s Test Pilot.

(AWG), an innovative solution to meet the ever-increasing need for
drinking water worldwide, today at Aero India 2019.
General Bipin Rawat, Chief of Army Staff, inaugurated the Atmospheric
Water Generator in the presence of Mr Gowtama M V, CMD, Directors and
other senior officers of BEL.
BEL's Atmospheric Water Generator can be used to generate water straight
from the humidity present in the atmosphere.
Kalyani Group and Aeron Systems, a Pune based Smart Technology Company, developing indigenous Inertial Navigation Systems (INS) & Internet of Things (IoT) solutions, have come to an understanding to explore investment options into Aeron Systems, with the former coming on board as a strategic investor.
The first flight of Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) MK1A will be in 2022 and commercial production would be in three to four years from then. The price bid for the 83 MK1A by the Indian Air Force has not yet been opened and the Defence PSU is looking forward to that contract. HAL is also looking at the export market, primarily to South Asia and African countries. “We have been participating in airshows and some of the countries expressed interest,” the Chairman of HAL, R.Madhavan told a press conference at Aero India.
