JASDF F-35A wreckage - giving nightmares to US

Exactly twenty years ago, the world’s military technology leader United States of America was doing everything to salvage the wreckage of its first stealth aircraft F-117 which was lost to SA-3 surface-to-air missile of Yugoslavian Army. A stealth bomber which was supposed to be invisible to radars was identified and acquired by a (supposedly) not so skilled army. The US put its best efforts to salvage the remains of the aircraft to ensure its stealth technology remains secret.

Indian Navy to participate in International fleet Review, China

Indian Navy Ships Kolkata and Shakti are scheduled to arrive Qingdao, China on 21 Apr 19 to participate in the International Fleet Review as part of 70TH Anniversary celebrations of PLA (Navy). International Fleet Review (IFR) is a parade of naval ships, aircraft and submarines, and is organised by nations to promote goodwill, strengthen cooperation and showcase their organisational capabilities. IFR also serves as an ideal platform for world’s navies to showcase their prowess and indigenous ship designing and ship building capabilities in a global/ international arena.

Army Chief commissions Coast Guard OPV, 50th delivery by L&T

Chief of Army Staff General Bipin Rawat on Monday commissioned Offshore Patrol Vessel (OPV) Veera into the Indian Coast Guard fleet. It was handed over to Coast Guard on February 27. The ship is third OPV delivered to Coast Guard in last one year ahead of schedule.

The ceremony was conducted in the presence of Director General Rajendra Singh, Director General Indian Coast Guard and other senior officials and dignitaries. 

India – the submarine story

Indian Navy’s submarine arm celebrated 50 years of Golden service to the nation on December 8, 2017, commemorating the date in 1967 when India’s first Foxtrot class submarine INS Kalvari, was commissioned at Vladivostok. And a week later, Prime Minister Narendra Modi with fanfare commissioned Navy’s first Scorpene submarine of the Project 75 also named INS Kalvari on December 14 at the Mazagon Dock, Mumbai.
