Indian Navy inducts fifth LCU-IV

 Vice Admiral Ajit Kumar P, AVSM, VSM, Vice Chief of Naval Staff, commissioned IN LCU L55 into the Indian Navy today at Port Blair. IN LCU L55 is the fifth ship of Landing Craft Utility (LCU) Mk-IV class to be inducted into the Indian Navy. The ship has been indigenously designed and built by M/s Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers (GRSE), Kolkata. The Commissioning of IN LCU L55 is yet another manifestation of the country’s indigenous design and ship building capability. 

Why Woman Are Not Suitable for Deployment in Combat Arms

There is a debate on why a woman should not be deployed in combat arms. This issue needs to be looked at from the operational imperatives and service conditions rather than looking at it from a gender biased approach. It is important to understand how young officers are groomed to be able to lead their men till death, an ethos that requires a close physical and mental connection with the men. This connects come by living and competing with the men that a woman may find difficult to do so.

Adani-Elbit inaugurate India’s first private UAV manufacturing

Adani Elbit Unmanned Aerial Vehicles Complex (UAV), was inaugurated today by Hon’ble Home Minister of Telangana, Shri Mohammad Mahmood Ali in presence of Shri Jayesh Ranjan, Principal Secretary – IT & Industries, State of Telangana, Mr. Pranav Adani, Director, Adani Enterprise Limited, Mr. Karan Adani, CEO, Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone and Mr. Bezhalel Machlis, President and Chief Executive Officer, Elbit Systems.

 

Ashok Leyland - ELBIT Systems sign MOU for High Mobility Vehicles

Ashok Leyland, flagship of the Hinduja Group and the largest supplier of Wheeled Military Vehicles to Indian Army, today, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with ELBIT Systems. As part of this agreement, Ashok Leyland will provide High Mobility vehicles (HMV) for mounting Elbit Systems’ artillery guns and systems. The integrated systems are targeted for worldwide export markets.
