India Army Signs MoU with Drone Federation

The Army Design Bureau on behalf of the Indian Army has signed a MoU with the Drone Federation of India to collaboratively work towards promoting research, development, testing and manufacturing of drones, counter-drone and associated technologies that can assist the Indian Army in its operations. This MoU also signifies the unwavering commitment of the Indian Army in supporting our industry and the complete eco system to develop indigenous equipment and weapon systems in line with Atmanirbharta in defence manufacturing.

MoD accords high priority to indigenisation of SDR

Ministry of Defence (MoD) has fast-tracked the indigenisation of Software Defined Radios (SDRs) with country’s premier R&D institutions viz. Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur to fulfill the increasing demand by the Armed Forces across a broad spectrum of operations. The complete product life cycle management framework is necessary for security sensitive SDR technology and products. It involves indigenous self-sustainable design, development, manufacturing, testing/certification and maintenance ecosystem.

RattanIndia acquires majority stake in Throttle Aerospace Systems

RattanIndia Enterprises Ltd (REL) today announced that it is has acquired 60% shareholding in India’s leading drone company Throttle Aerospace Systems Private Limited (TAS). This investment in TAS has been done through NeoSky India Limited (NeoSky), a wholly owned subsidiary of RattanIndia Enterprises Limited. NeoSky is engaged in the business of drones.

L&T Defence Order Book over 8000 cr

The Defence Engineering segment secured orders valued at ₹ 8,079 crore during the year ended March 31, 2022, representing substantial growth over the previous year with receipt of few large value domestic orders. No major export order received during the year. The segment recorded order inflow of ₹ 5,377 crore during the quarter ended March 31, 2022, registering a robust growth over the corresponding quarter of the previous year, with the booking of a large value order in the shipbuilding business unit.
