Rostec develops radar to detect mini drones

"Ruselectronics" Holding of Rostec state Corporation has developed a radar station to detect small-size drones at a distance up to 7.5 km. The equipment is built entirely on the domestic electronic component base and has no analogues in Russia.

The equipment is a multi-channel Ka-band radar, characterized by small dimensions, equal to 325 × 240×230 mm. The direction finder digital repeater is placed on a rotary device that provides visibility in all directions. The station can be controlled manually from a laptop or automatically.

MSMEs, Start-ups need to be integrated into defence manufacturing ecosystem – Secretary, Defence Production

Mr Subhash Chandra, Secretary, Department of Defence Production (DDP), Ministry of Defence today said that the MSMEs and start-ups need to be integrated into the defence manufacturing ecosystem. They also need to be encouraged not just by the defence public sector companies but also the armed forces.

India inducts Rafale Jet

Today, on the auspicious day of Dusserah, Eric Trappier, Dassault Aviation Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, hosted the handover ceremony of the first Indian Air Force Rafale in Mérignac, Dassault Aviation’s Rafale final assembly facility. The event was placed under the high patronage of the Honourable Shri Rajnath Singh, Minister of Defence of India and the Honourable Mrs. Florence Parly, Minister of the Armed Forces of France.
