AeroIndia'21 - Day 2

Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) said a few countries in South East Asia and West Asia have expressed interest in the 4.5 generation fighter aircraft, fitted with modern equipment – the light combat aircraft (LCA) Tejas. The Chairman and Managing Director of HAL, R.Madhavan, addressing the media, however did not reveal the names of the countries which had shown interest in the LCA. 

AeroIndia’21 – Inauguration Day 1

On a warm bright day, leaving behind the grim reality of Covid-19, Aero India -21 gets a flying start at Yelahanka Air port, Bengaluru amidst the presence of delegates from 55 countries.

The presence of 540 exhibitor from across the globe in these difficult circumstances was a testimony to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call for self-reliance in defence under the ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ initiative.

Bengaluru to host MSME Aerospace and Defense Expo

Chief Minister of Karnataka, B S Yeddiyurappa, today announced the MSME Aerospace and Defense Expo as a part of the India Manufacturing Show. The fifth edition of this biennial event will be held in Bengaluru, from 27 – 29 September 2021. The event will be organized by Laghu Udyog Bharati - Karnataka (LUB-K) and IMS Foundation in association with the Government of Karnataka.

First Su-57 commissioned in Russian Air Force

The first of the 76 ordered Russian stealth fighter Su-57 was commissioned in Russian Air Force. The single aircraft commissioning took place on January 29. With the commissioning, Russia, after USA and China, is third nation to design and develop stealth fighter.

Indian Air Force operates a variety of aircraft fleets of foreign origin ranging from legacy MiG-21 Bison to the state-of-the-art Rafale aircraft. For increased self-reliance and to meet sustenance requirements in product support of IAF aircraft and systems, indigenisation of aircraft as well as systems spares and setting up of indigenous Repair and Overhaul (ROH) facilities for aggregates are key focus areas of IAF.  

AeroIndia'21 - Curtain Raiser

Aero India 2021 three-day mega event to showcase the prowess of Aviation Industry will begin from tomorrow at Bengaluru. The Curtain Raiser Press Conference chaired by Raksha Mantri for Asia’s premier air show was held on 2nd February. Aero India-2021 will be inaugurated by Hon’ble Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh and will commence with a flying display at Yelahanka Air Force Station.
