Boeing [NYSE:BA] Australia and the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) have successfully completed the first test flight of the Loyal Wingman uncrewed aircraft.
The flight of the first military aircraft to be designed and manufactured in Australia in more than 50 years flew under the supervision of a Boeing test pilot monitoring the aircraft from a ground control station at the Woomera Range Complex.
The new hybrid unmanned complex ZALA VTOL is unveiled at the IDEX 2021, International Defence Industry Exhibition and Conference, in Abu Dhabi.

AU-220M autocannon
The centrepiece of Russian display at the expo is its 57 mm autocannon designed for installation on all kinds of armoured vehicles. AU-220M is a remote-controlled, fully automatized unmanned artillery module. It can be used both as part of the combat vehicles and as a stationary system. There is also the naval version of the system.
The system is exhibited in India for the first time.
Over 300 presentations and live demonstrations of Russian military hardware were organized by the delegation of Rosoboronexport (part of the Rostec State Corporation) for foreign partners from over 40 countries at the Army 2019 International Military and Technical Forum in Kubinka near Moscow.
The Korsar drone system, designed by the Lutch R&D company of the Roselectronics holding, consists of several separate UAVs and a control station. The UAV is designed for all-weather aerial terrain reconnaissance, patrol and observation flights, and aerial photography. It weights 200 kg, has a wingspan of 6.5 meters and fuselage length of 4.2 meters.
Avtomatika Concern (part of Rostec) has presented the Sapsan-Bekas mobile system for detecting and disabling unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) at the International Military-Technical Forum ARMY-2019. The system can detect an UAV at a distance of 10 km, track its movement and disable it at a distance of over 6 km by suppressing communications and control of the UAV. The design has much better tactical and technical characteristics compared to all similar Russian and foreign systems that are currently available.

Honeywell is launching its commercial Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Inspection and Data Analytics Service in India. Targeted at utilities and oil and gas companies, the new service is designed to help customers across the country improve and modernize critical structural inspections. Using UAVs to carry out this work and collate necessary data reduces the need for employees to conduct inspections manually, which in turn increases safety by eliminating many of the risks associated with dangerous structural examinations.
Russian bases in Syria came under the wave of armed drone attacks in January 2018. The targets were Russian air and naval bases. It is a new wave of terror strikes on military installations. The drones were locally assembled with a GPS guidance system to control and direct these drones to the desired targets. The technology is available and drones can be manufactured with local resources that could either have pre-fed target coordinates or can be remotely controlled so that these drones can also be maneuvered to avoid detection by radars.
