Boeing Delivers First Operational Block III F/A-18

Boeing delivered the first of 78 contracted Block III F/A-18 Super Hornets to the U.S. Navy.  Block III gives the Navy the most networked and survivable F/A-18 built with a technology insertion plan that will outpace future threats.

“The fleet needs capabilities to keep its edge,” said Capt. Jason “Stuf” Denney, U.S. Navy F/A-18 and EA-18G program manager. “Getting the first operational Block III in our hands is a great step forward in supporting our capability and readiness goals.”

Godrej delivers 200th BrahMos airframe assemblies

Godrej & Boyce, the flagship company of the Godrej Group, announced today that its business Godrej Aerospace handed over the 200th set of the stealth universal supersonic cruise missile airframe assemblies to BrahMos Aerospace Pvt. Ltd. (BAPL) for use in its missile systems. This will further enhance India’s national security through self-reliance. Each airframe of the BrahMos missile consists of 138 complicated subassemblies that are manufactured from more than 1500 parts.

PPP can bring Defence Production Revolution -Rajnath

Government has created an atmosphere of jointness to ensure modernisation of the Armed Forces in the rapidly evolving global security scenario. This was stated by Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh during his address at Society of Indian Defence Manufacturers (SIDM) Annual General Meeting in New Delhi on September 28, 2021. Shri Rajnath Singh said, countries around the world are now focusing on the modernisation of their militaries and the demand for military equipment is rapidly increasing due to emerging security concerns, border disputes and maritime dominance.

SCO Military Exercise Ends

The 6th Edition of Exercise PEACEFUL MISSION: 2021 of SCO Member States hosted by Russia at the Orenburg Region of South West Russia culminated on 24 September 2021. The twelve days long joint training involving Armed Forces of all Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) member states was organised with an aim to foster close relations between SCO member states and to enhance abilities of the military leaders to command multinational military contingents.

India, Airbus Signs Contract for 56 C-295MW

Ministry of Defence (MoD) signed a contract with M/s Airbus Defence and Space, Spain for acquisition of 56 C-295MW transport aircraft for the Indian Air Force, on September 24, 2021. The MoD has also signed an Offset Contract with M/s Airbus Defence and Space through which M/s Airbus will discharge its offset obligations through direct purchase of eligible products and services from Indian Offset Partners.
