India will continue to work with African nations-RM

India will continue to work with African nations to promote regional security, foster stability and enhance the defence capabilities together. This was stated by Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh during the first edition of India-Africa Army Chiefs’ Conclave organised on the sidelines of 2nd Africa-India Joint Exercise ‘AFINDEX’ in Pune, Maharashtra on March 28, 2023. The Conclave was attended by Chief of the Army Staff General Manoj Pande and Chiefs & representatives of 31 African nations, along with other civil and defence dignitaries.

Workshop on Simplification of Weapons Trial

A one-day workshop on ‘Simplification of Trial Processes for Defence Equipment’ was organised under the aegis of Acquisition Wing of Ministry of Defence today at the Manekshaw Centre,New Delhi. In line with government’s vision of Make in India, the workshop was aimed at having a free  exchange of ideas among all stakeholders involved in the trials of defence equipment prior to their induction into the armed forces.

India - Srilanka Review Bilateral Ties

India and Sri Lanka held their 7th Annual Defence Dialogue in New Delhi on February 23. It was co-chaired by Defence Secretary Giridhar Aramane and his Sri Lankan counterpart General Kamal Gunaratne. During the meeting, the ongoing defence cooperation activities between the two countries were reviewed, with both sides agreeing to increase the complexity of bilateral exercises.
