Indian Army to buy 150 Anti-Armour Loitering Ammo

In April, Indian Army sent out a Request for Information (RFI) for procurement for 150 Canister Launched Anti-Armour Loiter Munitions (CALM) Systems for mechanised infantry. The RFI has been released to help “finalise Staff Qualitative Requirements (SQR), decide procurement category and identify probable Indian vendors who are capable to commence supply of CALM System within one year of Award of Contract / Supply Order.”

Naval group pulls out of 75I

In another setback to the India's next line of six diesel submarine under Project 75I, one of the main contender for tender, the French Naval Group has backed out of it, company has confirmed.

Confirming the withdrawal, Company publicist has informed that the company will provide the statement tomorrow.

Work begins in Kaiga 5&6

The excavation of Kaiga 5&6 project at Kaiga, Karnataka commenced with ground break today. Senior officials of Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited and contractors were present on the occasion. 

Kaiga 5&6 reactors are the first set of the ten indigenous 700 MW Pressurised Heavy Water Reactors sanctioned by the Government to be set up in fleet mode.
