Defence Minister Dedicates BRO Road to the Nation in East Sikkim

Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh was in Sikkim to dedicate the 19.85 Km Alternate Alignment of the National Highway 310 from km 0.00 to km 19.350 to the Nation. Necessitated due to the previous alignment having seen extensive damages due to sinking and other natural hazards, the road serves as an important link to bolster defence preparedness in the Nathula Sector in particular and in whole of East Sikkim in general.

Turkey fires S-400 in military drill

Amidst the ongoing crisis in the Caucasus region, Turkey, during a military drill, first time fired the Russian-made S-400 air defense missile systems. The drill was held near Sinop in the Northern Turkey, reports Russian news agency TASS.

"Three missiles of the S-400 anti-aircraft missile system were launched. All of them successfully hit the designated targets," Tass reports.

The test was conducted on October 16.

Loyal Wingman Completes Low-Speed Taxi Testing

Loyal Wingman has completed low-speed taxi testing! This is the latest step toward first flight later this year for the unmanned aircraft.

‌This aircraft is the first of three Loyal Wingman aircraft our Australian teams are building with the Royal Australian Air Force. Designed to extend and protect existing aircraft, these prototypes are the foundation for future unmanned teaming aircraft to be developed for global air forces through the Boeing Airpower Teaming System program.

 

Nag missile completes user trials

Final user trial of 3rd generation Anti Tank Guided Missile (ATGM) NAG was carried out today on 22 Oct 2020 at 0645 hrs from Pokhran range. The missile was integrated with the actual warhead and a tank target was kept at designated range. This was launched from NAG Missile Carrier NAMICA. The missile hit the target accurately defeating the armour. 

Cybersecurity sector requires indigenization

Lt Gen (Dr) Rajesh Pant, National Cyber Security Coordinator, Govt of India today urged the private sector to come forward in making indigenous products for the cybersecurity sector to make it Atmanirbhar.

Addressing the ‘Cyber Comm - Cyber Security for Atmanirbhar Bharat’ webinar organized by FICCI, Dr Pant said, “Cybersecurity is critical for national security and it requires indigenization. It comprises both cybersecurity products and services and there is a huge scope for the Indian industry in the sector.”
